This new market is growing at a frantic pace and will soon become a necessary investment hub. According to MarketsandMarkets research, the market for educational robots is projected to grow from $1.3 billion in 2021 to $2.6 billion by 2026. It is also important to note that the market for educational robotics is expected to grow at a Combined Annual Growth Rate ( CAGR) of 16.1% from 2021 to 2026. 18/10/2021: Education Leader Awards

The “Cyprus Education Leaders Awards” highlight and reward the remarkable work of educators at all levels of education.
The Neapolis University of Pafos participated in the competition with the Intelligent Systems Laboratory of the Department of Computer Science, whose participation was distinguished for the second consecutive year by the evaluation committee in the Higher Education “Innovation in Teaching”.

We are committed to continuing to demonstrate that educational robotics is an excellent educational activity and not just an afternoon activity.

Software and developers were ready to push technology to its limits. New programming languages are constantly emerging, providing significant power in the hands of creators: an essential factor influencing the evolution is the storage media. The software was available via floppy disks with extremely limited storage capacity. A typical example of the time was the game Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge for Amiga by Lucas Arts, which required 11 floppy disks.

It is a fact that demographic changes taking place in the European Union countries show that Europe is evolving into a continent of elders. In 2019, almost one-fifth (20.3%) of the European Union population was 65 and over. The European Union predicts that by 2060, the share of people over 65 will increase to 29.0% of the total population. At the same time, according to Eurostat, the percentage of people aged 80 and over in the European Union is projected to increase 2.5 times between 2019 and 2100. And this aging workforce is called upon to serve the ever-evolving digital jobs.
