The most famous business magazine, Forbes, hosts my article on how industrial robots benefit the online shopping industry during the pandemic.

The industrial robotics start-up ecosystem seems to be booming in recent years, and the pandemic period appears to be favoring it. Industrial robotics investments have increased fivefold in the last five years, showing that the future is more than bright. E-commerce changed how we shop, and industrial robots evolved warehouse operating conditions.

07/03/2021: How Bitcoin transformed our lives

On May 22, 2010, in the US, the first official trading transaction using Bitcoin was recorded in Florida. The 10,000 bitcoins were enough for Laszlo Hanyecz to buy two pizzas. The value of the cryptocurrencies at that time did not exceed $23. Today, 11 years later, 10,000 Bitcoins equal to more than $450 million, making that transaction the most successful pizza sale in mankind’s history. The significant changes in Bitcoin’s value during the last few days bring back to the general public the interest in cryptocurrencies, their prospects, and the risks or opportunities they offer.

The Mayor of Pafos, Phedonas Phedonos, presented the municipality’s goals and actions for the city’s transition to the smart and digital era.

The discussion was also attended by the Deputy Ministry of Research Innovation and Digital Policy of Cyprus, Kyriakos Kokkinos, the Deputy Minister for Special Digital Projects, and the Cadastre of Greece, Giorgos Stylios, and the Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship “IDEA” Angela Panagiotou.

Savvas Chatzichristofis, Associate Professor of Artificial Intelligence at Neapolis University, moderated the discussion.
The event was organized by the Municipality of Pafos and the independent non-governmental, non-profit organization Oxygono.

Autonomous Vehicles (Issue 16, February 2021).

“Artificial intelligence is now mature enough to safely support implementing accurate localization and navigation systems. Alongside the automotive industry, IT companies are spending resources researching reliable models ready for commercial use. The gradual installation of high-speed and (almost) zero-delay networks will allow our vehicles to move safely. The question arises when we can see truly autonomous cars on our roads.”
